Dear Community Stakeholder,
The River Parishes Tourist Commission is embarking on an important assessment of how the River Region scores as a tourist destination using the diagnostic tool called DestinationNEXT. We are in the company of over 290 other destinations worldwide who have undertaken this assessment, and as such we feel the tool has been tried and tested, and the methodology is sound.
The assessment takes the form of a 360-degree survey of key stakeholders in tourism, business, education, and government who would all find themselves impacted by the River Parishes Tourist Commission’s ability to attract and inspire visitors to our region. The results of the survey will essentially be a report card for the health and benchmarking of the River Parishes as a destination. We will present the results and workshop them further to those in attendance at our Tourist Summit in September.
We are asking for your participation in this important assessment. The questions are simple and straightforward, asking for your candid opinion of important tourism elements to the River Parishes as a destination, and should take about 25 minutes. You can also save it and return to it later if you find you need to complete it in more than one session.
To access the survey, please visit: River Parishes Survey. The survey will be available for your participation until August 30th; but we urge you to complete it earlier rather than later so that it doesn’t fall off your radar.
Please be assured that your responses will remain anonymous. In order to develop the most accurate picture, it is important that you answer the survey as you see the River Parishes today. Our hope is that the findings of this survey will spark a thoughtful, productive conversation about the River Parishes as a destination, and will form the basis for a destination-wide tourism strategy that will take the river region to the next level.
Thank you for your time,
Buddy Boe, cLED
